The history of DGK started in Philadelphia (most likely at Love Park). The story goes that if you were doing a trick or a run and you lost your board (like it went into the street), the Dirty Ghetto Kids (DGK) would come out of nowhere and take your skateboard. As the term became more popular, Stevie Williams decided to make a skateboard company out of it. Ironically, DGK is now distributed out of Southern California.
The current DGK team consists of: Stevie Williams, Marcus McBride, Jack Curtin, Lenny Rivas, and Wade Desarmo.
